Checklist and trip data

100 Dives stores your Wishlist, Planning, Booked, and Dived marks for the independently curated 100-destination checklist. It also stores milestone and recovery metadata, saved trip names, dive destinations, origin airports, dates, traveler and room counts, currency and cabin preferences, optional product categories, trip notes, booking state, and prices or provider labels you explicitly save.

This durable information is not automatically uploaded to YVB. Apple or Google may include app-private files in a device or cloud backup according to your operating-system settings and their policies.

Backups and disposable cache

An explicit progress export contains the durable checklist and saved trips, including notes and saved prices. The app opens the system share sheet and does not choose or receive the destination. The recipient, app, or storage service you select handles the exported data under its own policy.

Airport suggestions and travel estimates use a separate bounded cache on your device. Results are fresh for no more than 24 hours, can remain available offline as clearly stale data for up to seven days, and are then deleted. This disposable cache is not included in progress exports or recovery backups. Deleting a trip removes its trip-scoped cached results.

Travel searches and external providers

User-initiated requests

Airport autocomplete uses the bundled OurAirports catalogue and does not send the airport text you type off-device. The app contacts the first-party YVB travel gateway only when you explicitly request flight estimates or choose to check an external provider.

A travel request can include origin and destination IATA codes, departure and return dates, currency, direct-flight preference, result limit, product category, platform, selected dive-site ID, a non-personal placement code, an opaque estimate reference, or the destination, dates, adult count, and room count needed to construct the selected search. Checklist marks, trip notes, manually saved prices, support email, and advertising identifiers are not included.

Like other internet services, the gateway receives normal technical connection data such as IP address, request time, and connection details and may use limited logs and rate limits for security, reliability, and troubleshooting. It does not create a 100 Dives user account.

Travelpayouts, Aviasales, and provider handoffs

Travelpayouts supplies affiliate infrastructure and can connect 100 Dives to approved travel providers. Cached indicative flight data currently identifies Aviasales as its source. 100 Dives does not sell travel, take payment, confirm availability, issue tickets or vouchers, manage reservations, or process changes, cancellations, or refunds.

Before an external provider opens, the app discloses that prices are estimates, booking takes place outside 100 Dives, and YVB Apps may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. Travelpayouts and the selected provider may then process request context, technical connection data, cookies or identifiers, searches, purchases, and booking attribution under their own terms and privacy policies. YVB Apps may receive affiliate reports about attributed clicks, bookings, and commission.

The app contains no advertising SDK, does not access IDFA or the Android advertising ID, and does not use affiliate links for cross-app behavioural tracking.

Support and information you choose to share

If you send a support form, email, exported backup, or diagnostics, YVB Apps receives only the content and contact or technical details you choose to send. We use this information to reply, investigate problems, prevent abuse, and improve the app. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, passport information, booking records, or another person’s personal information unless strictly necessary for the request.

Support records are retained for up to 12 months after the last response. They may be kept longer for an active security issue, dispute, or legal obligation. You may request earlier deletion.

Permissions, controls, and deletion

The current release does not require precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, or photo-library access. It contains no third-party advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or remote crash-reporting SDK.

You can edit or remove checklist marks; edit or delete trips; clear dates, notes, saved prices, and disposable travel results; export or restore durable local data; and use the confirmed Reset all progress action to remove checklist data, saved trips, recovery files, temporary state, corrupt quarantines, and the travel cache created by 100 Dives.

Uninstalling normally removes app-private data, subject to operating-system backup and restore behaviour. Because durable checklist and trip data are not held in a 100 Dives account, YVB Apps cannot retrieve or remotely delete them. Contact us to delete support messages or other records YVB Apps actually holds.

Security, children, and policy changes

Travel requests use HTTPS, and reasonable administrative and technical safeguards protect the gateway and support service. No system is completely secure; you remain responsible for protecting your device, exported backups, and external-provider accounts.

100 Dives is a general-audience travel checklist and is not designed to collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian should supervise a minor’s diving, travel planning, and use of external services where required.

We may update this policy when the app, providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page. Country-specific legal rights may apply in addition to the controls described here.
